Independence Day will be celebrated in Los Angeles with numerous splendid parades, festivals, and fireworks displays. The following are some of the free events for Fourth of July celebrations in L.A. in 2017.
Grand Park L.A. 4th of July Block Party
July 4 @ 2 p.m.
Grand Park + The Music Center, 200 N. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90012
Grand Park in the LA Civic Center will present an eight-block-long party from Temple to 2st St. between Spring and Home. There will be two stages of entertainment featuring LA musicians playing a variety of music genres, including the Inner-City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, Angel City All-Star Brass Band and more. Games for children ages 4-15 will be available on the Grand Park Event Lawn. Food trucks will have food and beverages available for sale. A fireworks display will be launched from the Civic Center skyline at 9 p.m. Admission will be free. Parking will be $10.
Pacific Palisades Americanism Parade

The Pacific Palisades Americanism Parade has been a great place to celebrate Independence Day for 69 years. The community parade and skydivers will begin at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m. the concert gates will open and there will be activities for children and a concert. The Main Stage Concert will be a 6 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m. This will be a free event. VIP covered grandstand seating (optional) will be available for purchase.
Westchester Fourth of July Parade – An American Adventure

The LAX Chamber of Commerce will pay tribute to American’s birthday with a parade fit for a Norman Rockwell painting.The parade will be on Loyola Blvd. from Westchester Park to LMU.
67th Annual John Olguin July 4th Spectacular
Cabrillo Beach, 3720 Stephen M. White Dr., San Pedro 90731
This free celebration in San Pedro will feature music and family activities. Food trucks will offer refreshments for sale. The fireworks spectacular will take place on Cabrillo Beach at 9 p.m.
Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade and Festival

The annual celebration in Huntington Beach is the biggest Independence Day celebration in Southern California, so expect a huge crowd. The three-day festival will feature music and entertainment, including Surf’s Up Beach Boys tribute, After Party 80’s tribute, and more. Food trucks will have refreshments available for purchase. The 113th 4th of July Parade,themed "United We Stand," will be on July 4 @ 10 a.m. The 4th of JUly fireworks will will light the skies over thr pier starting at 9 p.m. This will be a free event. Bleacher seats for the parade and fireworks will be available for a fee.
